The results are in and the Bay Area Transportation Authority set a single day ridership record on Saturday, July 4, 2026, providing 7,126 rides across all BATA services (Bayline, Loop and Link). BATA provided 26,876 free rides to residents and visitors during the 2026 National Cherry Festival. Another Cherry Royale Parade is in the books, but the National Cherry Festival is not over yet! Park at Meijer or Northwestern Michigan College Maple Lot and take BATA's free Bayline to check out the Tom Petty Tribute Band and the fireworks to end the festival tonight. The Bayline will get you back to your car at the park-n-ride lots. Cherry On!
