The Bayline is free throughout the year! It runs along East and West Grand Traverse Bay, providing easy access to hotels, Northwestern Michigan College, grocery stores, and downtown.

We had a great time yesterday at the Suttons Bay Bingham District Library reading books about riding the bus and teaching future riders about public transit.

Last year, BATA provided more than 500,000 rides. Each one was a neighbor getting somewhere they needed to be. 30% of BATA riders are seniors or riders with disabilities.

Another Ridership Record! BATA set a record for Leelanau UnCaged ridership on Saturday, Sept. 26 with 143 total rides to/from Northport-Omena Chamber of Commerce – a 40% increase compared to 2025. It was a beautiful day and we had some great community interactions as well. Thanks for riding!
