If BATA's Bayline, City Loop, or Village Loop services do not work for your needs, you can use the BATA Link app or call our scheduling service to request a ride within Grand Traverse or Leelanau County.
- Door to door rides can be requested on-demand or up to a day in advance using the BATA Link app (powered by Via) or by calling BATA Scheduling at 231.941.2324. BATA Scheduling hours can be found here. The BATA Link app can be downloaded from the Apple or Google Play app stores.
- Rides can be requested a day in advance or on demand as needed.
- All Link rides cost $6 full-fare or $3 for those that qualify for reduced fare. Riders can pay for their fare with cash, fare card or in the BATA Link App using their credit or debit card. NOTE: The payment selected at the time a ride is booked is the payment method that will be charged/used when boarding. You can not change the payment mothed after booking the ride without canceling the ride and rescheduling.
- BATA’s entire service area of Grand Traverse and Leelanau Counties has on-demand service from 6 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. Monday – Friday with limited availability after 7 p.m. in the village areas outside of Traverse City. Weekend Link hours of operation are from 7 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. for all of Grand Traverse and Leelanau Counties with extended service in Traverse City until 10:30 p.m. Note: Rides can be requested based on availability up until 10:30 p.m.
- The busiest time of day is before 9am and between 3pm and 6pm. Please consider travel in mid day for better service for everybody.
- Please consider using Bayline, City Loops, or Village Loops if possible - those options cost you less and may save you time.
- If a requested ride time slot is full, an alternative available time slot plus or minus 30 minutes will be offered as an option if one is available.
